Warm season annuals thrive in the intense heat and humidity of zone 10b and are typically planted from spring through fall.

Primary Window: March through May is the ideal period to establish heat-loving annuals as the spring temperatures rise.

Early Window: Late February works very well in Zone 10b due to rare frost risks.

Summer Warning: Avoid planting new delicate annual starts during peak rainy, high-heat summer months (July and August) unless they are tough, drought-hardened varieties.

When They Bloom:

Timeframe: Greenhouse starts or nursery transplants will bloom immediately upon planting or within 2 to 4 weeks as they settle into the soil.

Duration: They continue to bloom continuously through the spring, summer, and into autumn, wrapping up when cooler winter conditions or heavy tropical moisture shifts the seasonal planting cycle.
